Graduation Elation

This year’s Graduation Weekend was one of the most joyful experiences of my nine years at Heritage.

On Friday evening, April 29th, we gathered for our annual Grad Banquet.  At the close of the night, graduates circled the room, each holding a candle. A reminder that they are sent into a dark world to carry the light of Christ.

On Saturday, April 30th, family and friends joined to celebrate the College Graduation in the morning and the Seminary Graduation in the afternoon.  The bright, warm sunshine only added to the festive mood of the occasion.

I won’t soon forget the joy I felt as I stood on the platform and looked at this year’s graduating class.  As I scanned the faces of the seminary grads, I repeatedly thought, “This one will serve the church well.  That one will be an excellent pastor of a congregation.  So will that one.  And that one too.”

God is continually entrusting Heritage with stellar students—godly in character and gifted for ministry. During their years at Heritage, we’ve helped them major in the Word of God so that they can help churches make a world of difference.

My heart overflows with praise to God for the privilege of being part of such a vital ministry!

Thanks to all of you who pray for us and support the ministry of Heritage College and Seminary.
