I (Rick) am thanking the Lord for the privilege of preaching at West Park Church in London last Sunday. The message, taken from Genesis 2, was entitled “God’s Plan for a Better Man.”
As part of the sermon, I showed a brief video clip of Robertson McQuilkin’s words to the faculty and staff at Columbia Bible College (now Columbia International University). Robertson resigned his role as president of the school to take care of his wife, who was struggling with Alzheimer’s. I’m moved and inspired by his words; he’s an example of a “better man”. Prayer Requests:
Women’s Retreat. This weekend Linda speaks at a women’s retreat. She will be giving four messages on the Holy Spirit. Please pray that God’s Spirit would use these messages to encourage and equip each of the women who attend. Pray as well for Linda’s stamina over the weekend (good sleep and good health).
Marriage Enrichment Conference: In November, we return to West Park Church in London for a one-day marriage seminar. Pray that the Lord would bring the right couples to the conference and give them a heart to grow stronger in their marriages.
