This week has been our Spiritual Life Emphasis week at Heritage–a time to set the tone and trajectory for the entire year. I had the joy of preaching in the chapel services. I told the students I’m praying that this year would be a incredibly impactful, spiritually significant year in their lives. A time when they grow to know the Lord in a life-transforming way and are equipped for a lifetime of faithful service.
On Wednesday afternoon, we had our quarterly Board meeting. How grateful I am for the men and women who serve the school as part of our Heritage Board and Advisory Council. They provide godly wisdom and spiritual support for our faculty, staff, and students.
In addition to thanking the Lord for helping us successfully launch the new school year, please join me in praying for these requests:
Today and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday), Linda is teaching a course in the Graduate Certificate for Women in Ministry. This course is entitled Developing Life Changing Bible Study Curriculum. The aim of the course is to equip women to write Bible Studies for their local church ministries. This year we have women from several language groups taking the course. Please ask the Lord to strengthen Linda as she leads and the women as they learn.
Next Tuesday and Wednesday, I am teaching a course in the Graduate Certificate of Biblical Preaching. This course, entitled The Personal Side of Expository Preaching, is designed for pastors who want to continue to grow as preachers and teachers of God’s Word. Please pray that I will serve them well. Ask the Lord to strengthen and stretch these pastors as faithful and fruitful preachers.
Next Friday, October 1st at 1:00pm, Heritage is hosting the official launch of our Capital Campaign. The focus of the campaign is to construct a new seminary building on our campus. I’ll have more to write about this exciting venture in the coming weeks. Would you join me in praying that the Lord would guide and provide for the school as we move forward in faith. (Next week, I’ll be posting the link that allows you to livestream of the launch).
Thank you for praying!
