Praise and Prayer Update (February 26, 2021)

I am grateful to report that college students have returned to campus after Reading Week and we are able to hold in-person classes for the college once again (all seminary courses remain online). By God’s grace, we’ve made it safely through the January and February. Now we head into the final two months of the semester.

Linda and I enjoyed several relaxing days in Ottawa during Reading Week. We were able to go for some walks along the Ottawa river with our daughter and Linda even got to skate on the Rideau Canal again! We returned refreshed and ready to lean into the rest of the semester.

Would you join us in thanking God for His goodness to Heritage and ask for His guidance and grace in the coming week? Here are several key requests:

On Saturday, Linda teaches an all-day, online course for women who are being trained as teachers of God’s Word. We desire to see these women better prepared to teach other women in their churches. Pray that Linda will be able to equip and encourage each one.

Next week, I (Rick) am in a very important meeting related to our expansion plans. You may know that Heritage is preparing for a building project. Things were put on hold over the last year due to the pandemic. But now we are able to move forward. I sense God is on the move and we are seeking to follow HIs lead. Pray for His clear guidance and ample provision for this important project.

Our college enrollment for next fall is lagging behind recent years. COVID has made it difficult for us to connect with prospective students. March will be an important month for our recruitment team. Please pray that the Lord would stir in the hearts of many young people (and their parents) to consider at least one year (or more) of solid, biblical grounding at Heritage. If you know of prospective students, please reach out to us and we will follow up with them. (discoverheritage.ca/apply).

Thank you for praying.
