As we being this New Year and a new semester at Heritage College and Seminary, we have many reasons to give thanks to the Lord.
- By God’s grace, we were able to successfully and safely complete the fall semester.
- Heritage students helped bring the good news of Christ to many individuals during the fall semester.
- Enrollment for the winter semester is higher than anticipated–we have 19 new students in the seminary.
- Our faculty and staff remain committed to the mission of training men and women for serving Christ, His Church and His mission in the world.
At the same time, we begin the New Year with an acute awareness of our need for God’s direction and protection in 2021. The province-wide lockdown brings many challenges for us as a school. So I am writing to ask you to pray for us and with us this year. Here are some pressing prayer requests I would ask you to remember.
Physical Safety for our students, faculty, and staff. Once again we will have a reduced number of students on campus. We finished the fall semester with out a COVID outbreak and are asking the Lord to protect us again this winter semester.
Emotional Resilience for students, faculty, and staff. As we begin this semester, all courses (college and seminary) will be delivered in an online format. Students (and faculty) get “Zoom fatigue” and need God’s grace and strength to stay fully engaged. Pray for the mental health of all our team during these challenging days.
Spiritual Growth for students, faculty, and staff. In spite of the challenges (or perhaps, because of them!) we are asking God to work in powerful ways in the lives of each Heritage student. We believe the Lord is still able to do “far more abundantly than all we ask or think, according to the power at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20). Please pray that this semester will be a time of profound, lasting spiritual growth for all of us.
Thank you for partnering with us through your prayers!
