Today we commemorate Good Friday. It’s the day God did His very best for us as we did our very worst to Him. Because of Jesus’ death for our sins and His resurrection on Easter Sunday, all who turn from their sins and trust in Christ are forgiven and given eternal life. No wonder we call it “Good Friday.”
This week in our chapel services at Heritage, our students poured out their gratitude to God in song. It moved me to tears to hear them sing praises to the Lord. What a joy to be training men and women who love the Lord and want to serve Him for a lifetime.
Classes have now finished for the semester and we are gearing up for our College and Seminary Graduation Celebrations on April 30th. Here are a few prayer requests I’d ask you to remember this week.
College and Seminary Graduates. On April 30th, we’ll graduate almost 70 students from the college and seminary. I’d ask you to pray that God would direct their paths and lead them to fruitful places of service for him.
Summer Ministries and Summer Jobs. Please pray for Heritage students as they scatter to various ministries and marketplace jobs. Pray for those who still need to find a summer job to earn funds for the coming school year. Ask the Lord to let them be bright lights for Christ wherever they go.
Joan Reed. My mother–Joan Reed–is scheduled to have back surgery on April 21st in Portland, Oregon. The doctors have not yet cleared her to have the surgery because of her weakened heart. Linda and I are flying to the west coast to be with her. Please ask the Lord to lead us through the many challenges and decisions that must be made. Pray that He would strengthen, comfort, and bring relief to my mom at this crucial time.
Thank you for helping us through your prayers!
