I wanted to send a quick note before heading to teach an all-day class today to a dozen senior students. The course I’m teaching is on pastoral leadership. It’s a joy and honour to mentor those who will lead churches in the coming years. This week I read a statement made by a veteran pastor about the importance of training future pastors. He said, ““Part of my responsibility is to send younger pastors into the land that I cannot go—the future.” That’s a big part of what we are doing at Heritage College and Seminary.
Would you help us through your prayers? Here are some requests for the coming week.
Pray for resilience and strength for students and faculty as we move into the final weeks of the semester. Now that Ontario is under another Stay At Home Order, we’ve had to move all our courses to online only. It’s not our preference, but i’m grateful we can do it seamlessly. Please ask the Lord to give us grace to finish strong.
Pray for continued physical safety for all on our campus. We still have college students living in the residence halls. Pray that we might be protected from the virus as we finish the semester.
Pray for me as I teach young pastoral and ministry leaders today (Friday). Ask the Lord to make this course life-shaping for those who want to serve Christ and His Church.
Thank you for your partnership in prayer!
