Praise and Prayer Update (November 6, 2020)

We are in the “middle miles” of the journey through the Fall semester at Heritage. In spite of the challenges and changes brought about by COVID-19, we’ve sensed God’s grace and favour all along the way. We’ve not had any students, staff or faculty become ill with the virus. Students and faculty have shown a good amount of resilience as we’ve adjusted to new protocols and platforms of learning.

At the same time, the “middle miles” can be difficult. This week was mid-term exams for students–a time when many feel extra pressure and stress. Faculty and staff also feel the fatigue. We are depending on the Lord for strength. (Colossians 1:11).

Here are few specific requests I’d ask you to remember.

  1. Please ask the Lord to continue to protect and strengthen us as we move towards the end of the Fall semester. Pray that our students, faculty and staff would be physically, emotionally and spiritually safeguarded by God’s power.
  2. Next week is our Local Outreach Emphasis week. Pray for students as they bring the good news of the gospel to people in our community.
  3. Linda and I teach a course next week called Reaching the World: Local, National, and Global Evangelism. Please ask the Lord to use this course to instruct and inspire students to more fully engage in spreading the gospel in Canada and beyond.

Thank you for praying with us and for us. It means a great deal to us!
