“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, o my soul, and forget not all his benefits” (Psalm 103:1-2).
Today is a day to bless the Lord and remember the Lord’s benefits to Heritage College and Seminary. One year ago today, the school became debt free for the first time in its history. One year ago today, we officially paid off a debt that had been almost $4 million dollars. Bless the Lord! Only He could have done this for us.
I also want to bless the Lord for helping Linda as she spoke at the Women of Grace Retreat at Muskoka Bible Centre. We’ll be uploading the audio files from her messages on Colossians soon.
As far as prayer requests for this week, here are several to remember.
- Please continue to pray for physical safety and spiritual protection for our students, faculty and staff. We are seeking to be wise in implementing safety protocols, but are still very aware of our need for God’s gracious protection.
- Next Thursday, October 8th from 9:00am to noon, we will host our annual Heritage Preaching Lectures. This year’s guest presenter is Dr. Ray Ortlund. He will be teaching on how to preach Old Testament wisdom literature (like the book of Proverbs). The lectures will be delivered online and are open to all who want to attend.
