Linda and I returned from Louisville, KY last Sunday evening, grateful to God for the week we spent at Southern Seminary. One “souvenir” I (Rick) brought back from the States was a nasty head cold and cough. In fact, we had to cancel speaking at a marriage conference this weekend due to my unrelenting cough. We are taking a low key weekend to refuel.
Here are a few praise and prayer items for the coming week.
-
We are sensing a great vibrancy and excitement on campus as we begin the new semester. God is working in our midst and giving us reasons to rejoice. Heritage hosted a Career Fair on Thursday with 45 Christian organizations having booths. We launched our new chapel series,”Unfinished Business”, on Tuesday. (You can listen to my first sermon for the series here). College and seminary classes are off to a strong start. Praise the Lord for His favour on Heritage.
- Next Wednesday and Thursday we have a Board meeting and strategic planning retreat. Join me in thanking the Lord for the committed men and women who serve on our Board of Directors. Please ask God to grant us His wisdom and insight as we consider important matters related to the school.
- I’d also welcome your prayers for Linda and me–that we would be refreshed and recharged physically, emotionally and spiritually for the months ahead.
Thank you for your ministry to us through prayer.
