I’m headed out the door early this morning to meet with leaders of Christian Colleges, Universities and Seminaries from across Canada. But before I go, I wanted to pass along an update and provide several prayer requests.
Last week I asked you to pray for our admissions team as they talk to potential students. Yesterday we had two prospective seminarians on campus to check out the school. God is drawing students to Heritage. I also asked you to pray for Linda and me as we spoke at a Young Adult retreat on God’s “original intent” for men and women. God gave us a wonderful weekend—we sensed He was at work in many lives.
Here are a few requests for this week.
- As I mentioned at the top, today I am meeting with Canadian Christian leaders from schools across Canada. Would you join me in praying for all the schools that are seeking to teach God’s Word and train Christian leaders. Let’s ask God to raise up many godly leaders for Canada and global ministry.
Next week is our “Local Outreach” emphasis at Heritage. Our students will be challenged to bring the gospel to those who need to know Christ. Students will also be engaged in actively serving our local community in practical ways. Pray that we would be a light to those living in darkness.
- Linda and I head to Gorrie, Ontario this afternoon to speak at a marriage retreat. Pray that the weekend retreat would be used by God to help each of the couples who will be attending. The Lord wants marriages to be strengthened by His truth and grace.
