A Message for the Weary and Worn Down

This coming weekend, Grandview Church in Kitchener hosts its annual Christ and Culture Conference. The theme this year is Living Well Within Limits: An Antidote for Hurry Sickness in our Culture.

This past Sunday, as a preview for the conference, I preached a message at Grandview entitled “Living as a Limited Edition.” The message draws lessons from the life of the Old Testament prophet Elijah. Especially from Elijah’s journey to Mt. Horeb after his momentous victory on Mt. Carmel. Through Elijah’s story, we learn valuable lessons that can help us when we get weary and worn down by life and ministry.

If you are feeling physically and emotionally spent from the stresses and strains of life and ministry, you’ll benefit from hearing Elijah’s story.

You can watch the message on Elijah below; the sermon begins at the 48:47 mark of the video.

If you’d like to join us for the Living Well Within Limits Conference, this Friday night (May 1) and Saturday (May 2), you’ll find conference information and registration details here.
