Last night we had a knock on our door and heard singing outside. The music was coming from Heritage students who were out in the community singing Christmas Carols to those who live in the neighbourhood. As they finished singing at various homes, they left a beautiful Christmas card with the message of the gospel. It’s one of the ways we are seeking to train students who actively engage in sharing the love and light of Christ.
Here are a few pressing prayer requests for the coming weekend and week.
International Christmas Dinner Outreach. Tonight Linda and the Heritage students she oversees are putting on a Christmas dinner for those who attend our ESL (English as a Second Language) classes. Students are asked to bring food from their country of origin, so it should be a delicious and colourful banquet. We’ll also be presenting the message and meaning of Christmas in song and word. Please pray that the Lord would use this gathering to point people to Jesus.
Reaching the World Class. Tomorrow (December 10), Linda and I teach an all-day course on Global Missions. We’re excited to have friends who serve around the world Zoom in to speak to our students. Each student will also report on a Christmas outreach they helped oversee this year. Pray for inspiration and impact.
Final Exams: Next week is Finals week at Heritage. Pray for students (and profs) to finish the semester in a strong way! We want the training students receive to shape their lives and ministries for a lifetime.
Thank you for praying with us and for us!
