The plane is off the ground!
We had a joyful launch to the school year this week. Monday was our move-in day. Yesterday was our first official day of classes.
We are rejoicing in the strong enrollment for both college and seminary (almost 100 new students between the college and seminary). Our residence halls are filled with eager students and there is a strong sense of anticipation on campus. God has been good to us again.
As you think about us, please pray for the following:
New Student Adjustment. Ask the Lord to help each new student make friends and adjust to the academic workload. We have a retreat day for new students this Saturday at Chuck and Nancy Schoenmaker’s farm. Pray that students will feel more and more at home!
Heritage Professors. Pray for those who are teaching at Heritage College and Seminary. Ask the Lord to fill them with the Spirit of wisdom and insight. Pray for their health and protection. I heard this morning that Beth Thomson (wife of our music professor, Doug Thomson), fell and broke her collarbone yesterday. Pray for Beth as she has surgery on Monday. Also continue to pray for Dr. Stan and Donna Fowler. Stan is still recovering from a stroke he had a year ago. At this point, he is regaining strength but still unable to speak. Pray for God’s healing grace.
Heritage Board Retreat. Next Tuesday and Wednesday, our Heritage Board of Directors will gather at Crieff Hills Conference Centre. Please pray that the Lord gives us direction as we consider the mission, vision, and needs of the school.
Thank you for helping us through your prayers!
