Praise and Prayer Update (January 28, 2022)

“Praise the Lord. I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart.” (Psalm 111:1)

My heart rejoices in the answers to prayer God has given in the past week. In the last Praise and Prayer Update (January 21, 2022), I asked you to pray for four requests. The Lord has graciously intervened in each area. 1. Our students are doing well in terms of health. 2. Mark Beach was moved out of ICU with the hope of preparing him for going home. 3. Our Board meeting was both engaging and encouraging. 4. We continue to see progress on the plans and funding for the new seminary building. Thank you for praying!

This week, I’d ask you to pray for these two requests.

Stamina and Spiritual Vitality. Winter and COVID wear us all down. I sense our Heritage team is holding up and carrying on; however, we need God’s sustaining grace to keep us joyfully serving the students who are preparing for ministry at Heritage. Please pray for God’s strength to sustain our faculty and staff. Pray our hearts continue to abide in the Lord Jesus as we labour for Him.

Stan and Donna Fowler. As I’ve reported in previous posts, Dr. Fowler suffered a major stoke last summer. He is now living at home and has been making good progress in his recovery. Last week it seems he had another, smaller stroke which set him back. Please pray for healing grace that allows Stan to regain strength and the ability to speak. Pray for Donna and the family as they care for Stan.
