Let me begin with some reasons for praise! We have seen clear evidences of God’s grace in recent days.
- Our Heritage Preaching Lectures on October 14th were very well received. Dr. Darrell Johnson served us well by helping soften our hearts and sharpen our skills as preaching and teachers. His experience as a pastor and a preaching professor combined to make his presentation biblically-solid and practically-focused. It was a wonderful morning of instruction.
- We have heard some encouraging news from both Theresa Beach and Donna Fowler. Both Mark Beach and Stan Fowler have shows some signs of progress and improvement. In both cases, there is still a big journey ahead. But we rejoice in these evidences of God’s grace on their lives.
As far as prayer requests let me give several that I would ask you to remember when you pray for us.
- Next week is Reading Week which means there are no classes at Heritage. Please pray that students, faculty, and staff get a bit of a breather. I sense many are feeling tired and ready for a break. Pray that each one would be physically, emotionally, and spiritually refreshed.
- Linda and I plan to travel next week to see each of our kids and grandkids. Please pray that we will have safe travels and significant moments with each of our family members. We miss them!
Thank you for praying with us and for us.
