This week marks an exciting change at Heritage–students begin to return to campus.
It all starts with the return of our college student leaders. The first wave of these stellar young men and women arrive today to help put the final touches on the campus for the Fall. By the end of this week, all the student leaders will return for a week of intensive training. As you can imagine, our safety protocols for COVID-19 are extensive; we will need the help of student leaders to communicate and reinforce these safety measures throughout the year.
Here are some praise reports and prayer requests that are on my heart as I write this post.
1 I want to give thanks to God for His grace as Linda and I traveled rather extensively in the past few weeks. First, I spoke at Muskoka Bible Centre and then headed to Ottawa to preach at our former church, the Metropolitan Bible Church. Thank you for praying that God would protect us and allow us to serve His people by preaching His Word. (If you’d like to watch the sermon I gave at the Met, you can find it here).
2 Pray for Heritage College Student Leaders as they return to campus and prepare for the fall semester. Pray for our Staff team as they train these men and women for their important roles on campus. This could be a life-shaping year for these students as they grow into new roles of spiritual leadership.
3 Pray for our Heritage Faculty and Staff as we prepare for the new school year. This is a busy season of preparation for all of us as we get ready to teach and serve the students God sends our way.
4 Pray for the students who are still finishing up their applications to attend Heritage this fall. We’re excited to report a strong incoming class at both the college and seminary–in spite of the pandemic. If you would like to consider taking a course, contact us right away.
