One of the things we need most in hard times is hope.
Billy Graham once said, “I don’t think people can live without hope. What oxygen is the to lungs, hope is to our survival in this world–the Bible is filled with hope.”
Indeed, the Bible is filled with hope. Listen to Romans 15:4: “For what was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”
Back in 2012, I preached a series of messages at the Metropolitan Bible Church called “Hope in the Hard Times.” Linda and I wrote a companion study guide for the series which was designed to help people dig into the Scriptures for themselves.
In the midst of this pandemic, when hope can seem hard to find, we’ve re-released the series and the study guide.
You can listen to the podcast of the ten sermons in the series here. You also will find a free download of the study guide here.
May God use His Word to point us to hope in Jesus.
