Brazil has been in the news a great deal in recent months. The Zika virus. High-level government corruption. The upcoming summer Olympics.
Brazil is a country that’s been part of our story since the 1980’s. Some of you know Linda and I planned to go as missionaries to Brazil. To our surprise, we ended up in Canada. (Instead of the tropics, we landed in the tundra!)
I recently retold our story in an interview that focused on the important subject of knowing God’s will. I was able to reflect on what I’ve learned about God’s will over the past 25 years.
Rob Magwood, director of SEND Canada, invited me to take part in this interview that became part of the Global Missions Podcast. He asked probing questions about how followers of Christ can discern God’s leading in their lives.
You can listen to the “How Can I Know God’s Will for Me?” interview here.
Brazil is also a part of Heritage’s ministry this year as we are sending a musical ensemble to Brazil in May. The team of eight great students is led by Dr. Doug Thomson, the director of Heritage’s music department. These students are performing in a fundraising concert and dessert this Saturday evening, March 19th, at 7:00 pm in the Heritage Chapel. It will be a fantastic night of music. You are invited to come.
