Linda and I spent much of December through March visiting our mothers and siblings on the West Coast. We thank the Lord for some very meaningful moments with both of our extended families.
As we move into May and June, we are preparing for a number of ministry opportunities. We’re also anticipating some special family time with our kids and grandkids. I’d value your prayers for God’s power and protection as we present His Word. Here are some specific opportunities I’d ask you to remember.
Stronger Men’s Conference (May 3rd). Tomorrow, I (Rick) will be speaking at the Stronger Men’s Conference at Forward Church in Cambridge on the topic of “God’s Vision for a Strong and Godly Man.”
Grandview Church (May and June). Starting this Sunday, I (Rick) will begin serving as the Interim Preaching Pastor at Grandview Church in Kitchener. I had the joy of filling this role last summer and fall. Since Grandview is still looking for their next Lead Pastor, they’ve invited me to preach for most of the Sundays in May and June.
Pastor’s Gathering (May 6th). I (Rick) will have the privilege of encouraging a group of pastors on the topic of growing as an engaging preacher. I’m grateful for these men who desire to become more effective in presenting God’s Word.
Faith Mission Canada Women’s Retreats (May 23-25; May 30-June 1) Linda will be the speaker for Faith’s Missions Women’s Conferences at the end of May (two weekends in a row).
Women’s Retreat at Grandview Church (June 7th). Linda will be speaking for Grandview’s Women Retreat on the subject “Thriving in Relationships when Relationships aren’t Thriving”.
Can I ask you to pray for us as we prepare and present? Ask the Lord to empower us to teach His Word in ways that impact each one who hears. Pray for lasting fruit for glory of God.
