Paul’s Mother

Here’s a Mother’s Day question for you: What do we know about the Apostle Paul’s mom?

You may respond: “We know nothing about her.” And you’d be correct. No where in any of his letters does Paul mention his mother, father or any siblings.

But did you know that in one of his letters, Paul gives a shout out to a woman he says was a mother to him?

Last Sunday, I preached a message called “Paul’s Mother” at Heritage Grace Church. The focus of the message was to honour women who are mothers–to their own children and to the children of others.

I was blessed by God to have a wonderful mother (Joan Reed). I’ve also been blessed to have women in my life who loved me like a mother (Marilyn McRae).

My prayer is that this message will encourage all the women who are mothers–either by delivery or by decision!
