Praise and Prayer Update (March 24, 2023)

It’s a privilege to give an update on life at Heritage and to invite your prayer support in several key areas.

I’m grateful for the evidence of God’s grace upon the school. Let me give you a few of the reasons we have to give thanks and praise to the Lord.

Praise Points

Student Life: There continues to be a strong, spiritual climate among the students at Heritage. They not only are engaged in their courses, they are involved in ministry and outreach. This week I met with several young men who desire to see Heritage students impact a local community college with the gospel. Yesterday, Heritage students were out in the community collecting food for the local food bank. Each week, a group of students visit homes in the neighbourhood to talk with people about God’s saving grace.

Seminary Building: Several weeks back, our Heritage Board of Directors unanimously gave the green light to starting construction on the new seminary building. We are still waiting for the final building permits from the city of Cambridge. When we receive this, we hope to put a shovel in the ground!

Prayer Requests

Here are several prayer requests I’d ask you to remember this week.

Marriage Conference. This weekend, Linda and I are speaking at a Marriage Conference at The Rock Bible Church in Woodstock, Ontario. Would you join us in praying that the Lord would use this conference to strengthen the marriages of all who attend.

Ministry Leadership Day. Next Thursday, March 30, is our annual Ministry Leadership Day. This year, Bruce Clemenger from the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, will present on the topic of Living as a Christian in Canada’s “New Orthodoxy.” If you would like to attend, it’s not too late to register.

Building Permits. As I noted above, we are eagerly waiting to receive building permits from the city so we can start construction on the new seminary building. Please pray this process would be expedited and that we could begin to build.

Thank you for praying!
