Last year at this time, I was asked to record a Mother’s Day sermon for a nearby church. My message focused on how mothers can impact the lives of their children in a powerful way. My hope was that the sermon would encourage and strengthen mothers in the midst of a pandemic.
Now, a year later, our country and world are still grappling with the effects of the pandemic. Once again, Mother’s Day will feel different. But even thought COVID will impact the way we will celebrate Mother’s Day, it can’t stop us from celebrating the impact mothers make every day of the year.
I continue to thank God for the impact of a godly mother on my life. I am also deeply grateful for my wife Linda’s godly impact on our three children. We rise up and call them blessed (Proverbs 31:28).
Here’s the sermon I posted last Mother’s Day. I hope it will be an encouragement to mothers (and others) this year.
Happy Mother’s Day.
