Once again, I want to thank you for your ongoing prayers for Heritage and for us. Linda and I deeply value and need the ongoing prayer support of friends like you.
I want to give thanks to the Lord for His grace on our students who were part of the Benton Street Christmas festival last weekend. They did a great job and had a wonderful time being part of these outstanding concert (four performances).
Here are some specific prayer points for this week:
- Next week is Finals Week at Heritage. Students are feeling the pinch of finishing major papers and getting ready for final exams. Let’s ask the Lord to give them strength, health, diligence and success in their studies. What they are learning will help them serve Christ for a lifetime!
- Linda speaks for several women’s Christmas outreaches in the London area next Tuesday. Please pray that she can present the good news of Christ and Christmas in a clear, compelling way. Ask the Lord to work in the hearts of the women who attend.
December is a key month for donations to Heritage. Pray that many would be moved to support this crucial work of training men and women for ministry. I appreciate the words of Charles Spurgeon, who started a Pastor’s College to train ministers: “We wonder not that such Colleges should be liberally supported, but rather we marvel that more lovers of the Lord do not devote their substance to this superior purpose, in which the deed is done more fully unto the Lord himself than in almost any other form of doing good.” (Sword and Trowel, 1882 “Annual Report”)
