DId you know that, if you are a Christian, you are dead to sin?
That’s what Romans 6:2 boldly states: “How can we who died to sin still live in it?”
You may be thinking, “I’m dead to sin? Really? How come sin still seems so alive in me? If I’m dead to sin, why do I still carry around so much sinful baggage? Impatience, bitterness, lust, envy haven’t seemed to have received the memo that I’m dead to them.”

Last Sunday, I (Rick) launched into a new teaching series at Grandview Church entitled, Good Riddance: Getting Rid of Sinful Baggage. This six-week series, based on Romans 6-8, aims to help us find freedom from the sinful baggage that weighs us down and holds us back spiritually.
The first message in the series (Dying to Get Rid of Sinful Baggage) examined Romans 6:1-11. We learned what Paul means when he says we’ve died to sin. And we also discovered what we are to do as a result.
If you are dying to get rid of some sinful baggage in your life, I’d invite you to join us on this journey towards freedom. You can watch the messages on Grandview’s website (https://www.grandviewchurch.ca/) ) or Grandview’s You Tube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/@GrandviewChurch).
Here’s the link to the last Sunday’s message. The sermon begins at the 45.00 minute mark of the service.
Here’s the Baggage Check Form I refer to at the end of the message.
