As we head into the weekend, we have several praise and prayer items to pass along.

Praise:

Open Toronto Initiative:  We are thanking God for leading us to join forces with EveryEthne to help with their Open Toronto Initiative.  Linda has been asked to assist churches wanting to start ESL ministries.  I’ve been asked to equip and mobilize pastors and congregations to reach out to new Canadians in their communities and to take part in the Open Toronto Initiative.  We’ll write more about the Open Toronto Initiative in the coming weeks and months.  (If you are familiar with missions organizations, you may know that EveryEthne is part ABWE).

Conversations and Connections Podcast.  Linda was recently a guest on Sandee Macgregor’s Conversations and Connections podcast.  The focus of the conversation was “Finding Hope in the Midst of Trials.”  You can watch the podcast video here.

Prayer

Heritage Courses:  Tomorrow (Saturday, November 9), Linda and I are both teaching courses all day at Heritage College and Seminary.  It’s our deep desire to equip those who will serve Christ’s church and His global mission in Canada and around the world. We’d ask you to pray that these courses would be used by God to shape the lives and ministries of our students. 

Fellowship National Conference.  Next week (November 11-13), I have the privilege of speaking at the Fellowship National Conference in Niagara Falls.  My three sessions are on the theme of “Truth in a Shifting Culture.”  Please pray for me as I preach.  Ask the Lord to grant me physical health and strength.  Please pray for spiritual protection as I prepare and present. Finally, ask the Lord to produce lasting impact in the lives of the pastors and ministry leaders who will attend.
